What is the sweetest red grape wine except for porto?

Usual red wines are quite sour for me.

I am trying to find the best quality red wine that is also sweet.|||I'll second chianti as a nice fiarly sweet red wine. Port is NOT a wine. Port is wine fortified with brandy to bring the alcolhol content up high enough to stop fermentation before the fermentation process has consumed the available fermentable sugars.

Plum wine is also usually sweet and wonderful, wonderful enough that I planted some plum trees :) Plum wine is usually not carried by liquor stores. The only place I've found plum wine is in asian restraunts|||mogan david, but drink it out of a bag do moslems don't see you|||Your best bet would probably be to start out with a red table wine. These are generally blends and a little sweeter. Also try a Chianti or a Dolcetto. It's just a lot of trial and error to find ones you like.|||I understand it's Plum wine. But I'm partial to good, expensive Ports, not because they're sweet, but because they have an orchestra of taste.

For sharper wines, you might follow them with a bite of sharp cheddar cheese: it takes away the bite quite nicely.|||Try a sherry wine-it is also a fortified wine like port, except certain sherry wines are not as sweet. can also try or Gewurztraminer -these are from grapes in the region bet Germany and France, and tend to be sweet as well.|||I like a nice pinot noir. It is a pretty sweet wine that pairs well with dessert. I would suggest one by Robert Mondavi
