Is red wine bad for my work out and body building program?

I have been strictly going to the gym and eating very healthy to gain about 15 pounds of muscle (I want to gain weight). I know that drinking a bit of red wine every night is good for health, especially my heart. But how does it affect my work out and muscles? I assume alcohol is bad for someone who wants to gain muscle/mass?|||Alcohol is dehydrating so your body looses the most important nutrient - water

Alcohol has calories that are not "good" calories

As with everything to work of those excess calories you will need to work out more.

If you are serious about your work out and body building program then drinking wine/alcohol will impede your results.

One glass of wine/week should be your limit.

Good luck|||It wont make much of a difference. As you stated, it is healthy. I would limit it to one glass ( 5 ounces) per day though. Obviously to much could have negative consequences. The alcohol in that amount of wine will not restrict muscle regeneration at all though.
