Whats the name of a good inexpensive red wine?

I'm going to a friends party tonight and would like to bring a bottle of wine with me. Can anyone tell me the name of a good red wine (not too heavy; light or medium bodied) within the $10 - $15 dollar range. Thanks!|||Night Train Express...I think you could probably get 3 for 10 at the local party store.|||Ravenswood Merlot (California) about $10/ bottle $7.99 on sale.|||I'd recommend a zinfindel or a syrah/shiraz. Too low priced brands that I gravitate towards are:

1. Cellar No 8 Zinfindel (California)

2. Wishing Tree Shiraz (Australia)

Both are about $10 and I've never had a bad bottle of either. Great standbys - enjoy and remember "en vino veritas" (in wine there is truth).|||Lambrusco....very good and flavorful|||Luna de Luna. Its the perfect red wine for what you want. Its in a red bottle with moons on it.|||I'd recommend a Pinot Noir, either Smoking Loon or Mirassou.

Both light, great flavored reds for right around $9-10 a bottle.

Have fun at the party!!|||For a nice seriously blended red table wine, try the Big House Red, which has everything but the kitchen sink in it. You can usually find it at Trader Joe's for around $10. Also, a nice Sangiovese from Foxen is a good way to go. They usually have this at BevMo or TJs. Most Sangioveses are decent drinking, and they are much more affordable than the Cabs or Syrahs.|||7 Deadly Zins.

Bert|||Try Gato ***** (Merlot) from Chile. It is below $10 but worth it. Translated it is Black Cat.|||Yellow Tail Shiraz is pretty good and I'm not even a big red drinker|||If you can find it, Coppola Rosa, I usually get this from my local Italian rest. I have found it at a World Market store, I thnk it was in your price range.|||I am with Bert, 7 deadly zins is one of my favorites|||Try a red blend called 'Jest Red'. Just google it and you will see all stellar reviews. I serve it at home all the time|||Anything from Yellow Tail. They're tasty and not expensive!
