What is sweet red wine comparable to Stella Rosa that can be bought in grocery stores?

I have bought Stella Rosa red Wine one time and i loved i cant find it in regular grocery stores. It was delicious, and very sweet, which is my favorite type of wine. Does anyone know of any other kinds like this that i can buy at Walmart, Target, or Albertsons.|||I am also not sure how sweet Stella Rosa is.

If you want sweet wine, there are different level of sweetness.

If you want something sugary sweet, then you need to try Port, which is very sweet, almost syrupy sweet. You can get a bottle of Port, such as Taylor Port or Sandeman Port, for as low as $10-15. I would recommend to get a cheap bottle and try to see if that is the sweetness that you like.

For something almost as sweet, you can try some white dessert wines such as Ice wine. You can get a reasonably priced ice wine like Jackson Trigg ($15/quarter bottle) or Noble House ($25/half bottle) at many grocery store as well. If you want to go expensive, try Inniskilling ($50/half) or Dolce ($65/half).

For even less sweet (but still sweet), try Gewurtztraminer or sweet Riesling. I would recommend cheap Gewurtztraminer such as Fetzer ($6-8) as well as Bonny Doon Sweet Pacific Riesling ($12). Muscato is also a good choice. You can find Muscato d'Asti ($12) in various stores as well.

As for white Zinfandel, these are really not that sweet. On the same level is Sauvignon Blanc, which is not too sweet.|||There is no comparison, just order a case over the internet and injoy at less than $9 a bottle. And while you are at it add Moscato D'Asto 1917 IL Conte D'Alba for a companion white and you will never need any other wines.

|||You are probably talking about the red wine from San Antonio winery in Los Angeles.

I love that wine too. You can get it from the winery or on line or BevMo usually carries it too.

Good Luck!

|||I've never tried Stella Rose red wine but it you are looking for a sweet wine try white zinfandel. I personnaly prefer Beringer white zin, it's a blush wine but much sweeter then red. It's worth a try and you can get a bottle for around 5 or 6 bucks.
